Dawan Coombs | Academic & Spiritual Literacy

Dawan Coombs is an associate professor of English at Brigham Young University where she also serves as the university secondary education coordinator. She earned her bachelor's degree in English teaching from Brigham Young University and her masters degree in reading and literacy from the University of Utah while teaching English and reading at Provo High School. Later she earned her PhD in language and literacy education from the University of Georgia. She loves teaching, but when she's not working she also loves running, hiking, camping, cooking, eating, traveling, spoiling her nieces and nephews, watching college sports, and sometimes even reading. She's a bit of a social media recluse, but she loves interacting with people in person. (credit: Dawan Coombs)
